Simply Marvelous Machines!

We had a fantastic time learning all about Simple Machines this week with Scientist Karin! She taught us all about what a simple machine is, what they do, how they make our lives easier, and why we use them. Thank you so much to Sophia's dad and Kamdyn's and Navo's moms for coming to help out! We couldn't have done it without you!

Bienvenue le Printemps!

It's been a very busy couple of weeks in Room 109! Lots of excitement and new things happening! We've welcomed Spring (even though it still doesn't really feel like it), we celebrated St. Patrick's Day, we had lots of fun dressing up for beach day, we've continued working on our retelling, and we've become Scientists! Here's a look at what we've been up to...

Qui a volé les biscuits de la boite à biscuits ?!

This week we've been having lots of fun learning how to solve problems! Our big question was 'Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?!' All week long the children worked hard to find the answer by following clues, matching finger prints, and asking questions. We even learned a song to help us figure it out:

Scientists In The School

We are very excited to announce that Scientists in the School are coming to our classroom for the morning on Wednesday March 26^th 2014! Scientist Karin will be teaching us about Simply Marvelous Machines and we need a few volunteers.
