Growing Up Has Just Begun - Please Join Us for Some Kindergarten Graduation Fun!

Save the date! On Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 p.m., our class will be having a celebration to acknowledge the children's successes in Kindergarten. In addition to singing some of our favourite songs, presenting a dance, eating treats, and simply enjoying each other's company before saying farewell for the summer, we will be presenting each child with a certificate of graduation and a special award.

Please feel free to send treats (juice, cookies, chips, veggies, fruit, etc.) of your choice as part of the celebration. If you would like to contribute, please ensure that everything is nut-free! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at any time.

We are hoping to have the celebration outside if the weather cooperates - otherwise we will be in the classroom. The children have been working hard all year long and we would love if you could all join us to acknowledge their hard work, celebrate their successes, and have some fun!

Library Books

Please make sure to return all library books to the school as soon as possible. This was the last week of circulation for the library and Ms Vincent our lovely librarian would like to start getting things up there sorted. Therefore, we will no longer be signing out books on Day 2 Thanks!

Change of Plans!

We have just been informed that the renovations that are supposed to be taking place at O’Connor Bowl have moved up ahead of schedule. As such, the date of our trip to the bowling alley and our afternoon picnic at Edge Park has been moved to TUESDAY JUNE 2^nd!!! Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.

We're going Bowling and to the Zoo!

We have two exciting trips coming up! On Thursday June 4th, we will be going to the Toronto Zoo for a day of outdoor learning and exploring. The cost for this trip is $8.00 and we need some parent volunteers to help us and lead a small group for the day. On Friday June 12th, the four kindergarten classes are walking to O'Connor Bowl for the morning and having a picnic and play day in the afternoon. The cost for this trip is $10.00 and we will also need a few parents to help supervise walking to and from the bowling alley for the morning. If you are able to join us for one or both of these days, please let us know as soon as possible! :) Also, please send in the signed permission form along with the exact amount for each trip by the designated dates on the forms.  We will be going on these trips rain or shine, so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and has a backpack to carry his or her belongings in.
