Save the Dates!
Thursday February 12th is Winter Activity Day at Clairlea! As the Junior/Intermediate students head out to ski or skate and the Primary students host their own Carnivale here at the school, the Kindergarten classes will be having our very own 'Valenter Activity Day' to celebrate Valentine's and Winter. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately to play outside!!! Our activities will include: games, a movie, treats, and fun! If you would like to send treats in for the class, please ensure there is enough for all of the students (29), it is nut-free, chick-pea- free, and Halal. Also, each child will be making their own 'mailbox' for Valentine's cards - if you would like to send cards with your child, please do not address them - it makes the handing out process very difficult! Also, Friday February 6th marks our 100th Day at school this year! We have been working hard, learning to count to 100 (cent) in French. To celebrate, we are going to play some fun games, do lots of different counting activities, and asking the children to share a collection of 100 things. We'd like them to count them at home and bring them in for a show-and-tell. Please make sure the collection is small enough to carry! Some examples include: buttons, stickers, toothpicks, a picture, beans, beads, popcorn kernels, or pennies. The kids are really looking forward to it!
